Environmental Maintenance Operative Level 2 – Cleansing Sweeper Driver, Ashton-under-Lyne

The Role

Environmental Operations and Greenspace Services are responsible for frontline functions including Street Cleansing. Working hours are 36 hours Monday to Friday, based at Hyde Depot.

Post Objectives: To work as part of a multi-skilled street cleansing team, primarily operating mechanical sweepers to clean highways, pavements, and other areas. Additional duties include manual litter picking and bin emptying as required.

About You
  • Possess a full driving licence (minimum C1 category)
  • Have a current CPC training certificate
  • Possess a digital tachograph card
  • Experience with driving mechanical sweepers is desirable but not essential, training will be provided
