Job summary

Colas Ltd is seeking an Environmental Manager to lead the Environmental Team and champion sustainability across our operations. You will ensure compliance with environmental legislation and corporate requirements, mentoring advisors and building environmental capability company-wide.

The role focuses on maintaining ISO 14001, supporting energy management and PAS 2080, and providing expert environmental guidance on tenders and projects to drive sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in environmental management in construction/highways/infrastructure.
• Maintains ISO 14001 systems and manages compliance programmes.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental Team and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain and improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and support ISO 50001/PAS 2080.
• Provide training, governance, and expert advice on environmental legislation and best practice.
• Support carbon reduction, waste management, and data/reporting; engage stakeholders and clients.
