Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting an Environmental Advisor to support Thames Water projects in Bedfordshire and/or Surrey. The role covers environmental management, EMS development, audits, and sustainability delivery across multiple sites.

You will work with the Framework SHE team to ensure regulatory compliance, drive environmental improvements, and gather KPI data to support project success.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental management and sustainability on construction projects.
• Certified to BS EN ISO 14001 and capable of leading EMS.
• Experience auditing environmental aspects and implementing mitigations.
• Possession of 14001 Internal Auditor qualification and IEMA accreditation or working towards Chartered status.
• Full driving licence and mobility across operating region.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for project and design teams on environmental management matters
• Leading the development of project Environmental Management Systems and ensuring compliance with regulatory and client requirements
• Conducting environmental audits and site inspections, supporting third-party audits and incident investigations
• Facilitating the implementation of the Kier Group Sustainability framework and supporting delivery of sustainability innovations
• Completing reports on activity, inspection findings, incidents and KPIs, ensuring consistent data collection across sites
