Job summary

Kier Group plc is seeking a Senior Environment Advisor to lead environmental guidance across Thames Water projects, with sites in Twickenham and Surrey. This site-based role focuses on ensuring legal compliance while driving sustainability throughout design, construction and handover.

You will support up to five projects, collaborating with the SHE team, and travel between sites as needed. Strong environmental qualifications and driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• ISEP Practitioner or Chartered Environmentalist status required.
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor qualification required.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, licences and consents.
• Experience with environmental management systems.
• Full driving licence; ability to travel between sites.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Review pre-construction information to assess environmental risks and opportunities.
• Support teams with authorisations, permits, licences and consents; engage regulators.
• Conduct environmental inspections and audits; lead investigations and learning.
• Collate sustainability data and report against objectives; manage databases.
• Chair sustainability meetings and support supply chain to maintain performance.
