Job summary

Farrans is seeking an Environmental Manager in the UK to drive environmental compliance and sustainability across projects from pre-construction through close-out. You will influence teams, coordinate audits and support permitting, with a focus on carbon reduction and biodiversity enhancement.

You will embed environmental risk management, monitor legal obligations and deliver continual improvements within Farrans’ environmental management system.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience in construction environmental sustainability role.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation, permitting processes and compliance management.
• Experience with multiple stakeholders and locations.

Responsibilities

• Influence SHE leadership behaviours with high ethics and integrity.
• Prepare Construction Environmental Management Plans.
• Plan and audit locations’ environmental practices and documentation.
• Support external audit programme.
• Assist incident investigations and reporting.
• Lead environmental agenda for regulatory and client requirements.
• Guide permitting and consent requirements for projects.
• Implement Farrans’ consistent SHEQ management approach.
• Provide solutions-based approaches to environmental challenges.
• Maintain a legal register and integrate changes into the EMS.
