Buckingham Futures is currently recruiting Environmental Health Officers / Higher Certificate Technical Officers to carry out Food Premises Inspections across London. This project involves inspecting premises rated AE under the FSA Food Law Code of Practice, with the first phase running until June 2025 - starting ASAP, paid on an hourly basis (inside IR35)Officers will be responsible for:Carrying out food hygiene inspections in line with the Food Law Code of PracticeRisk rating food businesses following inspectionDetermining Food Hygiene Ratings for eligible businessesEnsuring food business registrations are up to datecompleting or providing registration forms when neededWho Were Looking For:To be considered, you must hold one of the baseline qualifications and have the relevant registration, including:Higher Certificate in Food Control or equivalent qualificationEHORB/EHRB Certificate of Registration (or equivalent)At least 10 hours of Food Core CPD in line with the Food Law Code of PracticeDemonstrated competency in Inspection of Food Establishments (Cluster 4)Before starting, well need copies of your qualifications, CPD certificates, and registration documents on file.We understand that availability varies, so we are happy to split the workload across multiple officers.
