Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Environmental Health Officer to deliver environmental health services in Orkney. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will manage a varied caseload, conduct investigations, inspections, and provide advice to ensure legal compliance and health risk management.

Requirements include a good knowledge of environmental health legislation, ability to work independently, and flexibility to travel across Orkney. Membership of REHIS or equivalent, eligibility to work as an EHO in Scotland, a UK driving licence, and willingness to undertake CPD are essential. Experience in private sector housing, environmental protection, and acoustics is advantageous.
