Wirral Council is seeking two Environmental Health Officers to join their dedicated team. Wirral Council's Environmental Health Service carries out a wide range of public protection duties including food safety, health and safety, pollution control, animal health and shellfish bed classification.
There is currently an opportunity within the team for an Environmental Health Officer to assist in delivering all the service's statutory functions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, capable of working under pressure and meeting challenging deadlines, to provide high-quality service to the public, business community, and external organizations.
We value excellent communication and negotiating skills, as well as sound knowledge of Environmental Health legislation.
While the job description states that a Certificate of Registration from the Environmental Health Officers Registration Board or equivalent is required, we welcome applicants who are willing or currently working towards becoming a Registered Environmental Health Practitioner with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
The successful candidate must hold a Full Driving Licence.
