Job summary

Kingdom Local Authority Support seeks an Environmental Enforcement Team Leader in West Thurrock. This is a hands-on leadership role combining frontline patrols, enforcement with team mentoring, and ensuring high standards across operations.

You will manage a team of Enforcement Officers, report on activity, liaise with Local Authority partners, and respond to public concerns. Overtime opportunities and full training are provided. Own transport is required due to outdoor, varied duties.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience (essential)
• Confident communicator with strong people skills
• Professional and calm under pressure
• Ability to manage performance and motivate a team
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Knowledge of environmental enforcement (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Leading from the front - carrying out patrols and issuing Fixed Penalty Notices
• Managing and supporting a team of Enforcement Officers
• Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across your area
• Liaising with Local Authority partners and key stakeholders
• Investigating incidents and responding to public concerns
• Coaching and training new team members
• Monitoring performance, standards, and compliance
• Preparing reports, case files, and supporting legal processes
