Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking environmental professionals at all levels to join the Environmental Management and Assessment Team across the UK. Based from any WSP office, you will work on projects spanning renewables, rail, aviation and energy, applying environmental design and assessment through feasibility to handover.

Qualifications

• A relevant environmental degree level qualification.
• Chartered Environmental Status or working toward IEMA membership (or equivalent).
• Experience of EIA processes and working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of planning legislation and environmental law relevant to the UK.
• Proven capability coordinating environmental assessments on multiple projects.
• Understanding project management, including commercial and risk aspects, forecasting and QA.
• Experience liaising with cross-discipline teams, clients and external bodies.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Providing environmental advice and support to clients, project managers and colleagues
• Managing delivery of environmental inputs including EIA screening and scoping
• Overseeing environmental statements and management plans
• Managing projects with focus on technical, quality, commercial and safety
• Building relationships with clients and identifying opportunities to provide support in resourcing and delivery
• Supporting business development and bid activities
• Promoting innovative techniques such as Digital EIA and Future Ready EIA
• Upskilling junior colleagues and promoting inclusion and wellbeing
