Environmental Consultant/Senior Consultant
RSK Raw, part of the RSK Group, offers an exciting opportunity to join our team in Kingsclere, Newbury, UK. This full-time, permanent position involves a mix of site and office work, focusing on environmental contracting and consultancy projects.
RSK Raw provides multidisciplinary environmental protection and risk reduction services across the UK, specializing in spill response, contamination investigation, and remediation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver rapid response to environmental incidents in urban and rural settings.
- Assess pollution risks proactively and apply techniques for containing and recovering oils or other contaminants.
- Maintain accurate site notes and demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
- Undertake Phase I and Phase II site investigations.
- Conduct desk-based research and prepare site plans.
- Organize, undertake, and supervise site works.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring control of financial and health & safety matters.
- Prepare factual and interpretative reports.
- Develop Health and Safety documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.
- Adhere to RSK Raw management systems and safety protocols.
- Control project finances, including invoicing and purchase orders.
- Manage project performance, ensuring high-quality service and delivering commercially focused solutions.
- Maintain proactive client communication, providing regular updates and addressing variances.
- Perform additional tasks as reasonably expected within your capability.
Additional Information:
- Operate a 24/7 spill response service; work outside normal hours may be required with compensation.
- Travel across England, Scotland, and Wales may be necessary.

Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience.
- Degree in a science, environmental, or land-related subject.
- Associate membership of a professional body (desirable).
- Flexible attitude and enthusiasm for the role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- CSCS card and full UK/EC driving license.
