We are seeking an individual with practical experience in environmental coordination, assessment, and management to join our Planning and Environmental Consenting team in Bristol or Birmingham. You will collaborate with technical specialists on various projects, assisting with environmental assessments and deliverables. Projects include renewable energy schemes, major infrastructure projects, and coastal defence initiatives.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression in a dynamic industry. Candidates should have a degree in environmental or related disciplines, a solid understanding of environmental technical specialisms, and be working towards chartership via IEMA or similar bodies. We support ongoing professional development through training, mentoring, and career growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in coordinating and delivering environmental work, including EIAs, options appraisals, and environmental management.
  • Contribute to high environmental standards within multidisciplinary projects, influencing development and outcomes.
  • Gather and edit information from various sources to produce clear, well-written reports.
  • Perform work to high standards, on time and within budget, and review others’ work.
  • Support bid preparation and project management to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and quality delivery.
  • Engage in Continuing Professional Development as per professional body requirements.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Master’s in environmental or science disciplines.
  • Working towards chartership with a relevant professional body.
  • Knowledge of environmental assessment, management, and technical specialisms.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong report writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work at different locations.
  • Self-motivated with enthusiasm and commitment to sustainability.
