Job summary

Lanes Group PLC is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support and improve environmental performance across operations, ensuring compliance with legislation, client requirements, and ISO 14001 standards.

You will work with teams, regulators and clients to reduce carbon emissions, manage data, deliver training, and support ESG initiatives. National travel may be required.

The role offers opportunities to influence sustainability across multiple sites in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental, Sustainability, HSEQ, or Compliance roles.
• Strong understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and environmental audits.
• Ability to analyse data and produce reports.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist environmental advice across divisions.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, permits, licenses.
• Support EMS and continual improvement (ISO 14001).
• Monitor KPIs, incidents, and improvement actions.
• Promote sustainable practices and support client submissions.
• Conduct site inspections and support risk controls.
