Job summary

Global Ardour Recycling is seeking an Environmental & Compliance Advisor to join our HSEQ team at the Preston site, with regular nationwide travel. You will provide environmental and compliance support across UK operations to meet legislative and permit requirements, driving continuous improvement and maintaining ISO 14001 accreditation.

Qualifications

• Experience in recycling or waste management with environmental permits.
• IEMA qualification is essential for the role.
• WAMITAB qualification is desirable.
• Strong Excel and MS 365 skills for reporting and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line environmental and compliance support across sites.
• Support ISO 14001 retention and continuous improvement of EMS.
• Undertake quarterly environmental audits and track actions to completion.
• Ensure understanding and compliance with environmental permits.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual environmental returns for regulators.
• Maintain records and coordinate air, land and water monitoring reports.
• Review site plans and support updates as sites develop.
• Act as advisor to operational teams and support projects.
• Assist investigations of environmental incidents and non-compliances.
• Contribute to development of environmental policies and improvement plans.
• Collate data for internal and board reporting.
