Job summary

Cura Terrae is seeking an Environmental Clerk of Works to join our Land & Nature team in Scotland. The role focuses on environmental compliance monitoring across housing, renewable energy and infrastructure projects, delivering reports and plans, and advising on mitigation measures.

The successful candidate will work with clients, contractors and regulators, contributing to knowledge sharing and delivery of high-quality environmental solutions in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Environmental Management or a related environmental discipline.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Confidence working independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and record-keeping skills.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental compliance monitoring, auditing and advisory support across construction projects.
• Monitor compliance with planning conditions, environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare environmental reports, SWMPs and PPPs.
• Identify environmental risks and advise on mitigation measures.
• Support delivery of projects within budgets and programmes.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, regulators and project partners.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver environmental solutions.
• Assist with technical reporting and project documentation.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
