Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions Ltd seeks a Consultant to join the Environmental Claims Division. This home-based role involves on-site surveys of domestic properties and preparing concise reports for insurance clients, with focus on data interpretation and cost planning.

The ideal candidate brings at least two years in environmental services or related fields, plus a UK driving licence, strong communication and numerical skills, and a proactive, independent work style.

Qualifications

Two years+ experience in environmental services/consulting or transferable skills in related sectors.
Full, clean UK driving licence required.
Self-motivated with excellent organisation and time-management.
Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

On-site surveys of domestic properties including collection of vapour, soil and groundwater samples.
Compilation of and interpretation of field and analytical data.
Preparation of reports, tables, and/or figures for reports.
Scoping of remedial works and preparation of costs for the scoped works.
Planning and scheduling of labour, plant and materials for the works.
Supervision of staff/subcontractors in investigations/remedial works on domestic properties.
