Job summary

Centrica plc is seeking an Environmental Certificates Trader to join our trading team in Greater London. The role focuses on GoOs, REGOs and ROCs, combining market analysis, trade execution and counterparty management.

You will develop trading opportunities across European and UK environmental markets, build relationships with utilities and brokers, and progressively assume trading responsibilities within risk limits. Occasional international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with GoOs, REGOs, ROCs or other environmental certificates.
• Knowledge of European and UK renewable energy regulations.
• Strong analytical and numerical capabilities applied to trading.
• Ability to build and manage trading relationships with utilities, generators and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of physical and OTC transactions in GoOs, REGOs, ROCs and related certificates.
• Monitor prices, liquidity, regulatory developments and market fundamentals.
• Identify cross-market arbitrage opportunities and expand the trading desk’s network.
• Gradually take responsibility for trading positions within defined risk limits.
