Platform Housing Group through Platform Property Care is seeking an Environmental Caretaker to remove bulk refuse and maintain clean, safe spaces across Solihull and nearby areas. You will drive between sites in a 3.5 tonne van, log repairs on an iPad and perform health and safety checks.
The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with no weekends, and requires a valid driving licence and a Basic DBS check. Based near Solihull with travel required.

Platform Property Care are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join us, on a permanent basis, as Environmental Caretakers to be responsible for the removal of bulk refuse from our estates, blocks, schemes and individual void properties in Solihull and surrounding area.

You will carry out a range of activities to ensure our properties and the surrounding areas remain clean, tidy, safe, secure and in good condition. You will need to enjoy working with people and be able to use your knowledge and experience to make a real difference to our communities and our customers, helping to make our communal properties great places to live.
As an Environmental Caretaker, you will ensure that the properties and surrounding area you deliver a service to remain clean, tidy, safe, secure and in good condition. Working in a team you will share driving responsibilities, in one of our 3.5 tonne caged vans, to and from our sites and recycling centres.
This is a mobile role, covering our sites in Solihull and the surrounding areas so you need to be based locally as you'll start and finish your working day at our Birmingham Business Park Depot. There would also be a need to travel to our different sites throughout the area as required so a driving licence is essential.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week Monday – Friday with core hours of 7.30- 16:00 and no weekend working.
