Environment & Sustainability Manager - Warrington

We are seeking an experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager to promote a positive environmental culture within our organization. The role involves developing and supporting our Sustainability Strategy and Environmental procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, stakeholder, and customer requirements. A key responsibility is fostering a culture of environmental compliance through regular assurance checks and audits across our operations and supply chain.

Principal Accountabilities

1. Support and advise on the development & review of the sustainability strategy and carbon management plan; monitor and measure SDG performance.
2. Ensure environmental processes and plans meet appropriate standards.
3. Develop and track the audit schedule; conduct in-house training on environmental awareness.
4. Perform auditing and assurance activities to ensure compliance by staff, supply chain, and contractors.
5. Assist in improving the NTS Management system alongside the Head of HSE Nuclear & Assurance.
6. Provide environmental support to Team Leaders, Managers, and Functional Heads.
7. Represent the Nuclear & Assurance Department at meetings with customers and professional bodies.
8. Communicate environmental topics and risks effectively across departments.
9. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices in nuclear rail/shipping.
