We are looking to strengthen our SHEQ team with an Environment & Sustainability Manager based at Peterborough, Anglian Water Region, with hybrid working available.
You will report directly to the SHEA Manager. The role of Environment and Sustainability Manager is to ensure overall compliance with environmental legislation and standards within the @one Alliance, and to drive sustainable working practices during construction. The manager will oversee a team of Environment and Sustainability Advisors, providing support, guidance, and promoting continuous improvement and best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting construction projects on environmental issues, including document production and review.
- Developing and implementing sustainable working practices during construction.
- Consulting with environmental regulators and stakeholders as required.
- Collaborating across the @one Alliance to ensure delivery of the AMS requirements at appropriate DM stages.
- Providing technical input into mitigation measures at pre-construction and guiding on environmental constraints and risks.
- Ensuring effective communication of environmental information among teams.
- Reviewing and updating Environmental information within the AMS.
- Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation and promoting best practices.
- Analyzing legislation impacts and ensuring ongoing compliance with partner organizations.
- Undertaking annual management reviews.
- Managing and updating the NCR log for environmental issues.
- Representing and promoting @one Alliance Environmental Management at key forums.
About You
Essential:
