Job summary

Clancy is seeking an experienced Environment & Sustainability Manager to lead day-to-day environmental delivery across two major UK water infrastructure projects in the Andover area. You will work with project teams to manage permits, consents, CEMPs and compliance, ensuring environmental risks are controlled and project commitments are met.

You will influence environmental performance from the outset, supported by the Head of Environment and a team of specialists, and contribute to a positive

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in environmental delivery for construction/utilities/infrastructure projects.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance.
• Significant experience in waste management, permits and compliance.
• Experience with ecology, archaeology, arboriculture and water environment specialisms.
• Proven ability to write, coordinate and manage consents, licences and permits.
• Experience developing and maintaining environmental management plans and controls.
• Experience implementing ISO14001 environmental management systems.
• Ability to influence operations and challenge where standards are at risk.
• Strong stakeholder management with clients, regulators and landowners.
• UK driving licence and full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day environmental delivery across two major projects.
• Manage permits, licences, consents and approvals.
• Produce and maintain Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs).
• Identify environmental risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Coordinate ecological, environmental and archaeological requirements during construction.
• Deliver audits, inspections, incident investigations and compliance reporting.
• Support sustainability objectives and identify opportunities to improve performance.
• Build relationships with clients, regulators, landowners and stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to Environmental Advisors and Ecological Clerks of Works.
