Environment Project Planner – Hybrid Travel

Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Planner for the Environment Agency Collaborative Delivery Framework with hybrid working across South West and Midlands. You will develop integrated tender and delivery programmes, lead site verification, and coordinate with environmental specialists to ensure compliant schedules.

You will be part of a collaborative team, using MS Project and Primavera P6 to forecast, report, and support commercial decisions while travelling to sites as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, civil engineering or project planning with a relevant qualification
• Strong practical Excel skills including lookups, pivot tables and data validation
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and programme requirements including early warnings and compensation events
• Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6 with CPM concepts and baselines
• Clear communication and collaborative working skills to influence delivery teams and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining fully integrated, logic-linked programmes using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 for appraisal through to handover
• Attending sites regularly to verify progress, understand construction methods and validate actual dates with delivery teams
• Coordinating with environmental specialists for surveys, mitigations and working windows for protected species, permits and consents
• Analyzing critical paths, identifying delays and providing programme evidence to support project and commercial decisions
• Managing multiple schemes concurrently across locations, prioritising requirements and coordinating updates and reporting deadlines
