The role
As a specialist advisor reporting to the Head of Future Airspace you will plan, prioritise and manage the delivery of the Future Airspace Projects from an environmental perspective. The role will include supporting delivery of airspace change and the environmental elements required by the Civil Aviation Authority in CAP1616, to deliver the CAA’s Airspace Modernisation Strategy (AMS). Delivering airspace change at MAG airports is a strategic priority and is part of a national programme of change. The Future Airspace Environmental Lead is a key role in the delivery of the programme across all MAG airports. Other accountabilities include:
What will make you successful in the role?
You will be educated to a Degree/MSc level in an environmental discipline(s) or have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a role relating to environmental impacts within an airport environment. You’ll have thorough awareness of CAA Airspace Modernisation Strategy (AMS) and experience of delivering stages of CAP1616. You will have the ability to translate complex research and technical data into understandable reports, suited to a range of stakeholders and presented in a non-technical manner. Relationships are key in this role and so you’ll be comfortable building relationships with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory authorities, customers, and colleagues.
