The Role:

Working from the Stevenage office and across various project sites, you will lead the delivery of robust EHS systems and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation. • Carry out risk assessments, inspections, and audits, with follow-up on actions and improvements.
  • Provide guidance on safe systems of work and method statements during planning and execution phases.
  • Investigate incidents thoroughly and identify root causes and preventive actions.
  • Liaise directly with clients and external stakeholders on all EHS-related matters.
  • Champion a proactive health, safety, and environmental culture across project teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven EHS management experience, ideally within pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similarly regulated environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS legislation and high-compliance safety practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to managing health and safety in live project environments.
  • Membership of IOSH and/or IEMA.
  • Previous experience within mechanical, electrical, or building services contracting.
  • Familiarity with working in controlled environments, including shutdowns and highly regulated sites.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, quality-focused business where your expertise will make a genuine impact across multiple high-profile engineering projects
