Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking a SHEQ Lead to drive a proactive safety culture and manage the company's certification and accreditation portfolio for a leading specialist contractor.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will own Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance and continual improvement across construction operations.

Remote role with flexibility, offering a platform to shape SHEQ strategy and promote safe behaviours on multi-storey high-rise sites.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HSEQ functions across construction projects.
• Strong track record in implementing ISO/PAS accreditation frameworks.
• Experience in managing certifications and audits across sites.

Job description

Salary subject to knowledge, experience, capability etc but in line with sector standard

SHEQ Lead required to drive a proactive safety culture and manage the company's certification and accreditation portfolio for a leading specialist contractor.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll take ownership of the Health & Safety and Quality Management Systems, ensuring compliance, continual improvement and industry best practice across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage PAS and ISO accreditations

Oversee CHAS, Constructionline and other industry certifications

Drive Health & Safety, Quality and employee welfare initiatives

Lead audits, inspections and continuous improvement programmes

Ensure compliance across all construction operations

About You

Construction contracting experience gained on multi-storey high-rise projects

Strong understanding of cranes, scaffolding, working at height, manual handling and lifting operations

Experience managing ISO, PAS and accreditation frameworks

Proven track record improving safety performance and employee welfare standards

Energy and enthusiasm to work with people to bring H&S to live on site, create a safe culture and promote safe behaviours
