NHS Tayside is looking for a dedicated individual to support management within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at Ninewells Hospital. The role involves managing waiting lists, ensuring effective communication across teams, and providing high-quality patient support in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills and healthcare knowledge, ready to face the challenges of a fast-paced setting.

An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our team to provide a key role in supporting the management of our waiting lists, theatre activity, and related matters within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department. The postholder will be based at Ninewells Hospital and will be expected to cross-cover for others within the team.
You should have proven experience working in a team with an understanding of waiting lists, ideally in a healthcare setting. You should possess excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. The use of software such as Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Word is an important part of the day-to-day work. You will need to be a flexible individual with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of NHS Tayside Access Policy and Waiting Times Guidance, as well as experience with Trakcare booking and managing waiting lists, would be advantageous.
The role requires the postholder to communicate professionally with patients, their families, and various hospital staff. This position can sometimes be pressurised; therefore, the ideal candidate would enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
