Currently, we are looking for entry level teaching assistants, learning mentors and general classroom support staff to help support students. Due to the pandemic, schools and children have not been able to perform to the level and standards that they normally would which has resulted in students falling behind academically. Our clients based across Barking and Dagenham are looking to get their students back up to speed by increasing the amount of 1-1 and small group support. The successful candidate will be ambitious and passionate about working with students and want to make a difference. Reliable with strong attendance and punctuality, candidates with a background such as graduate, nanny, care worker, youth worker, sports coach or any other previous experience that you think would have transferable skills are highly recommended to apply.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

Protocol Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’; this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
