Job summary

Beyond Talent is partnering with a well-established Retford accountancy practice to recruit a Junior Tax Assistant. This full-time, permanent role offers training and hands-on experience in tax compliance across varying client portfolios.

You will work with an experienced team, developing skills in personal and corporate tax, P11D returns, and HMRC correspondence, with support to grow within the practice.

Qualifications

• Interest in taxation or accountancy career.
• Office/finance/accountancy experience beneficial but not required.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of personal and corporation tax returns.
• Support the preparation of P11D returns relating to employee benefits and expenses.
• Help with tax compliance work for clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Respond to basic client queries and assist with HMRC correspondence.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure information is processed correctly.
• Support the wider team with general tax administration and deadlines.
