Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator 1 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit. You will monitor and maintain access control, CCTV, PSIM, and related IT systems while providing Tier 1 support and triage in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires basic Windows administration, patching, and security fundamentals, with potential for on-site client deployments and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 0+ years of progressive experience or HS Diploma with 6+ years of progressive experience.
• Experience triaging system problems, resolving issues, and deploying new workstations.
• Understanding of Windows patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Basic networking knowledge including VLANS and routing.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
• IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain Physical Access Control, CCTV, PSIM systems.
• Provide Tier 1 IT helpdesk support to end users.
• Triaging calls and escalating to higher levels as needed.
• Document troubleshooting steps in the ticketing system.
• Support configuration and management of Windows OS and patches.
• Assist with backups, logs review, and IA/ STIG compliance.
