The role is aimed at someone early in their engineering career, with an apprenticeship or NVQ level 3, and a hands‑on approach to develop a career in maintenance engineering within a fast‑paced production environment.

Qualifications

• An Engineering Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC/HND or similar engineering qualification
• A basic understanding of both mechanical and electrical engineering
• Some practical experience working with machinery or equipment
• An interest in developing a career within maintenance engineering
• Hands‑on approach and willingness to learn
• Good problem-solving skills
• The ability to work within a busy manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical and electrical systems
• Respond to machinery breakdowns and diagnose faults
• Assist with bearings, motors, gearboxes and conveyors maintenance
• Support machinery changeovers and adjustments on the production line
• Perform general maintenance tasks around the site under supervision
• Develop technical knowledge by working with experienced engineers
