Responsibilities

• Setting up new customer accounts and ensuring all information and supporting documentation is complete.
• Maintaining accurate customer records within the finance system.
• Carrying out initial credit checks and gathering information to support credit-limit decisions.
• Processing changes to customer details, payment terms and credit information.
• Monitoring shared inboxes and responding to customer and internal queries.
• Preparing and issuing customer statements, copy invoices and credit notes.
• Supporting cash allocation and investigating unidentified or incorrectly allocated payments.
• Assisting with customer-account reconciliations.
• Reviewing aged-debt and order-hold reports and highlighting issues to the wider credit team.
• Helping to resolve invoice, pricing, delivery and payment queries.
• Liaising with customer service, sales, finance and other internal departments.
• Maintaining clear notes, records and audit trails.
• Producing regular spreadsheets and reports.
• Providing general administrative support across the credit function.
