Job description

Credit Analyst – International Bank (London, City)

We are partnering with a well-established international bank in the City of London to hire a Credit Analyst on a permanent basis.

This is a highly hands-on role within a small, close-knit team. You’ll need to be comfortable taking ownership across the full credit lifecycle and getting involved wherever needed — this is not a siloed environment.

Please note:

• This role will suit candidates used to working in smaller banks or lean teams
• It is not suited to candidates from large, highly structured banks where responsibilities are narrowly defined
• 5 days per week in the office (City of London)
• You must have prior UK banking experience in a Credit Analyst role

The Role

You will support the Credit & Marketing Manager in managing client relationships and delivering all core credit and marketing activities across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and support new business opportunities
• Prepare credit applications for Credit Committee and Head Office
• Respond to queries from internal stakeholders including Head Office
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, following up on information and requests
• Liaise with Credit Administration and external lawyers to ensure facility agreements are executed correctly
• Produce departmental reports for management and Head Office
• Plan and attend client meetings, including renewal discussions
• Conduct credit reviews of existing clients
• Complete all KYC/CDD documentation for lending activities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files
• Support the wider team with additional duties as required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Credit Analyst within a UK bank
• Strong credit analysis skills across lending products
• Experience preparing facility agreements
• Ability to manage end-to-end credit processes
• Confident working directly with clients and internal stakeholders
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to “roll up your sleeves”
