Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Cambridge area on a temporary basis. This role is full-time hours preferred, with part-time applications considered for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, with a patient and encouraging approach. You will support class activities, work with pupils of varying abilities, and help create an inclusive learning

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school.
• Patient, caring and encouraging approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Confident supporting children across the primary age range.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with engaging learning activities.
• Provide individual and small-group support to pupils.
• Help children develop confidence, independence and learning skills.
• Support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
• Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
