Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is partnering with a mainstream primary school in Maidstone to recruit an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant.

The role is long-term and supports learners in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Key Stage 1 (KS1), helping develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. You will be immediately available, flexible and capable of supporting phonics, early literacy and numeracy, while assisting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom duties.

Qualifications

• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification / Level 2 or Level 3 (desirable but not essential)
• Experience working within Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS (essential)
• Experience supporting pupils within EYFS or Key Stage 1 in a mainstream primary school setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS Framework, phonics and early childhood development
• Strong communication skills and the ability to support engaging classroom activities
• An energetic, positive and flexible approach to supporting children's learning and development

Responsibilities

• Support phonics, early literacy and numeracy and deliver engaging learning activities
• Assist the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom
• Create an engaging learning environment and support younger pupils in developing confidence and independence
