Job summary

Gatwick Airport Limited is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect to define and own architectures across critical national infrastructure for a 24/7 airport operation. You will translate business needs into end-to-end designs, balancing cost and delivery timelines with strategic aims.

The role is office-first hybrid, three days in the office and two days remote, with responsibilities spanning cloud, API-first integrations, governance, and security across the enterprise landscape.

Qualifications

• Degree level technology qualification.
• Significant Enterprise Architecture experience.
• Experience designing within complex critical national infrastructure.
• Background with SAP/Salesforce/HR systems and integration platforms.
• API-first architectures and cloud landing zones (Azure/GCP).
• Governance, identity, networking, security controls aligned to Well-Architected Frameworks.
• Experience in regulated environments with compliance and risk considerations.
• Lead and mentor solution architects and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across multiple projects within a 24/7 airport operation.
• Shape technology roadmaps focusing on resilience, security, and sustainability.
• Assure architectural integrity across delivery and vendor solutions.
• Design secure, highly available, scalable solutions for critical systems.
• Lead API-first and integration-driven architecture initiatives.
• Define and validate non-functional requirements for availability and performance.
