Job summary

London Gatwick Airport is seeking an Enterprise Solutions Architect to define, own, and assure architectures across a portfolio of critical national infrastructure supporting 24/7 operations. This hybrid role combines office-based and remote work, with a strong emphasis on security, resilience, and scalable design.

You will translate business needs into end-to-end solutions, drive technology roadmaps, and lead a team of architects across complex programs, including vendor-heavy environments.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a technology discipline.
• Significant enterprise architecture experience.
• Experience designing for complex, regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP, Salesforce and integration platforms.
• Hands-on API-first, middleware and event-driven patterns.
• Experience with Azure and/or GCP landing zones.
• Security-by-design and regulatory compliance awareness.
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across multiple projects.
• Shape technology roadmaps focused on resilience and security.
• Assure architectural integrity across delivery teams.
• Design secure, highly available, scalable solutions.
• Drive API-first and integration-driven architecture adoption.
• Define cloud architectures and landing zones (Azure/GCP).
• Embed security-by-design and regulatory alignment.
• Validate non-functional requirements for 24/7 ops.
• Oversee deliverables from architects and third parties.
• Input into RFI/RFP processes and vendor evaluation.
