Job summary

National Grid plc is seeking a Solution Architecture Lead in Warwick to define architectural standards, run the architecture runway, and assure design quality across product lines. The role centers on leading Product Line Architects and driving enterprise architecture compliance within a hybrid work model.

You will own the architecture strategy, ensure security by design, and collaborate across senior stakeholders to deliver scalable, costed options that meet enterprise objectives.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and governing Azure-based cloud-native apps.
• Proven track record of architecture leadership at scale.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Ability to establish design assurance and non-functional standards.

Responsibilities

• Own design authority, assurance and architecture runway across lines of business.
• Define method, template and quality bar for costed option assessments.
• Lead architecture discussions and chair architecture community forum.
• Ensure traceability from designs to enterprise standards and strategy.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security to embed security by design.
• Line manage architecture team and build capability across PLAs.
