Job Description
- Perform oversight and 2LoD challenge on aspects of Enterprise Risk activities for the ERM team.
- Ensure areas of coverage have sufficient guidance and support for the embedding and effective operation of the Ops Risk framework within their area of responsibility.
- Organise and manage the delivery of RCSA with timely output and recording of control weaknesses, addressing actions.
- Act as the relationship manager for Operational Risk in all risk management engagement.
- Ensure that the Operational Risk lifecycle activities are properly adhered to: from risk identification RCSA, risk assessment, risk reporting and monitoring, such as KRIs; Risk Acceptance; Events; Breaches.
- Collaborate directly with stakeholders across the firm to provide support and constructive challenge across operational risk & control framework and activities.
- Support the maintenance of firm-wide policy, standards and procedures, sharing knowledge and insight from the professional body and industry.
- Review and analyze operational risk issue and loss event data to provide an opinion on lessons learnt and the control environment for operational control and management.
- Oversee key control activities and processes.
- Support Operational Risk Capital Scenario workshops and scenario assessment process.
- Carry out and support any thematic deep dive reviews as required by management.
- Regularly conduct threat/regulatory/horizon scanning.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Enterprise Risk Manager should have:
- Capital markets experience in Banking.
- Experience with trading desks could be useful.
- Risk management or Internal Audit experience.
- Good data analysis and data extraction skills.
- Mathematical skills.
- Math or Sciences degree.
- 5-8 years of experience.
