Job summary

iO Associates is seeking an experienced Server Patch Engineer specializing in BMC TSSA/BladeLogic to join an enterprise environment in Newbury on an initial 3-month contract with hybrid working and an immediate start.

You will patch Windows and Linux across large server estates, build and monitor patch analysis, deployment and remediation jobs, remediate vulnerabilities, troubleshoot TSSA/RSCD issues, and develop automation using PowerShell, Bash or Shell scripting in close collaboration with

• Experience with BMC TSSA / BladeLogic in large-scale environments.
• Patching Windows and Linux across enterprise estates.
• Experience with vulnerability remediation.
• Troubleshooting TSSA/RSCD agent and deployment issues.
• Automation development via PowerShell, Bash or Shell scripting.
• Producing patch compliance, deployment and remediation reports.
• Collaborating with infrastructure, security and change management teams.

Responsibilities

• Managing Windows and Linux patching across enterprise server estates.
• Creating, scheduling and monitoring Patch Analysis, Deployment and Remediation Jobs using TSSA
• Carrying out remote software deployment and upgrades
• Analysing vulnerabilities and delivering vulnerability remediation
• Troubleshooting TSSA job failures, RSCD agent issues and deployment problems
• Developing automation using PowerShell, Bash or Shell scripting
• Producing patch compliance, deployment and remediation reports
• Working closely with infrastructure, security, application and change management teams
