Salary - National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £72,100 to £117,100 and London from £79,300 to £128,800 per annum (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

What will you be doing?
The Enterprise Business Architect role is a senior position within the Central Architecture team, part of the Strategy & Architecture department at the FCA. This role leads strategic business architecture across the organisation, working on high-complexity products, programs and initiatives. The focus is on proactive enterprise business architecture, alongside some initiative and project-based work to support FCA’s transformational needs. The role ensures that products and services align with enterprise standards, meet customer needs and maintain integrity across divisions. As part of a central team of architects, this position offers opportunities to influence broad organisational transformation at senior levels.
Shape and deliver enterprise business architecture aligned to FCA’s strategic goals, including roadmaps, capability models, and target operating models.
Advise and influence stakeholders by translating strategy into actionable architectural plans, identifying innovation opportunities, and driving business improvements.
Support capability building by mentoring associate architects and contributing to the growth and maturity of the architecture function within the Technology Division.

Minimum
Experience working as a business architect or business analyst in professional services, financial services, or a regulated public sector environment
Proven ability to conduct market, customer and value assessments, using insights to shape business architecture that supports business strategies
Experience designing target operating models for large organisations and leading business areas through strategy development and execution via business architecture
Essential
Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to view architectural challenges, business issues and interdependencies across the enterprise, considering strategy, value, capabilities, processes, technologies and governance
Ability to assess business issues and understand their impact on business architecture, quickly assimilating knowledge of the enterprise and making informed decisions
Broad knowledge of technology, trends and standards in delivering IT products as services
Excellent facilitation and communication skills, able to translate technical information for business audiences, build trust and gain stakeholder buy-in with credibility and gravitas
Desirable
CBA/BCS qualified, with experience using formal methodologies such as BizBoK, TOGAF, or Archimate
Strong understanding of business divisions, their functions and how they align with FCA strategy and objectives
Commercially and politically aware, with the ability to assess supplier proposals, promote cost-effective solutions and navigate conflicting priorities
Experience in financial services or regulatory/government bodies, with insight into how people, processes, data and systems enable business change; line management experience is an advantage
