Job summary

Northern Trains Limited is seeking an Enterprise Architect to shape a major transformation, defining the target architecture and transformation roadmap for one of our critical systems. You will deliver data, application, software, integration, and technology architectures, ensure security and performance, and collaborate with business analysts, project managers and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in an architecture/design role.
  • Deep IT experience from a complex organisational environment.
  • TOGAF or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with data integration and modern architecture patterns.
  • Knowledge of SOA, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture and mobile solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to balance strategic architecture with practical delivery.

  • Provide architectural guidance and assurance throughout.

At Northern, we're transforming the way technology supports our railway, our people and our customers. We're looking for an Enterprise Architect to play a key role in a major transformation programme.

You'll define the target architecture and transformation roadmap for one of Northerns critical systems.

What you'll do
  • Define target-state enterprise and solution architecture.
  • Map technology deliverables to business processes and project outcomes.
