Job summary

Mattioli Woods is seeking an Enterprise Architect to define the target technology architecture and lead the big structural decisions that will shape how we operate for years to come. This is a strategic role: you won't be writing code or managing BAU - you'll be setting the standards everything else converges to and helping make it happen.

You will own the enterprise-wide architecture for Mattioli Woods, guiding how our platforms (investment, SIPP and client portal) relate and how acquisitions

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise architect experience in complex multi-system environments.
• Strong platform strategy and integration pattern knowledge.
• Ability to think in outcomes and principles, not only components.
• Experience influencing technology decisions at Board/ExCo level.

• Determine relationships between core platforms (investment, SIPP and client portal) and drive coherent evolution.
• Lead architectural decisions and set standards that guide future development and acquisitions.
• Partner with engineering, data and product teams to ensure cohesive, scalable solutions.

This is a strategic role: you won't be writing code or managing BAU - you'll be setting the standards everything else converges to and helping make it happen.

What you'll be doing:

You'll own the enterprise-wide target architecture for Mattioli Woods - making the calls that determine how our platforms, systems and integrations evolve. That means working through complex questions: how do our core platforms (including investment, SIPP and client portal) relate to each other? How do we integrate acquisitions faster and more consistently?

Where do our AI and data investments need to land?

You'll be the architectural authority across Tech, partnering with engineering, data and product teams to ensure we build coherently - and influencing senior stakeholders to make the right long-term bets.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect in a complex, multi-system environment - ideally financial services
• Clear opinions (and the evidence to back them) on platform strategy, integration patterns and technology standardisation
• The ability to work at altitude - thinking in outcomes and principles, not just components
• Experience influencing technology decisions at Board or ExCo level
