Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer, Applied AI, to be the technical authority helping enterprise customers design, validate, and scale next-generation AI agents. You will translate multimodal foundation models and advanced retrieval into high-ROI business solutions, shaping go-to-market strategy and customer success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.
• 10 years in a customer-facing technical or cloud software role.
• 2 years building/prototyping AI/Conversational AI solutions.
• Experience coding in Python or modern backend language with REST APIs and OpenAPI.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures for enterprise workloads across customer journeys, agentic commerce, and search.
• Guide customers on reasoning loops, tool API execution, and advanced RAG retrieval.
• Build prototypes validating CUJs, search flows, and multimodal extraction.
• Architect solutions adhering to security and data residency, integrating with CRMs/ERPs/e-commerce backends.
• Define blueprints for transitions to services and create reusable accelerators and playbooks.
