Ryan is a current Uncountable account manager. Will pointed to his profile (along with Angela's) as "the type of personality and background" they want in this role. Ryan and Angela together replaced the need for a director hire, so his profile shows what success looks like on the team. Will wants this hire at the same level, just in Europe.
Ryan came in through the Director role but was not hired at director level. Don't treat that pipeline as a sign that director-level candidates fit. Shreya estimated his experience at about 5 7 years, which is the upper end of the 3 7 year range.
Use him as a direct level and personality benchmark, translated to London. Candidates should be London-based (preferred over Munich, which is strongly preferred over remote anywhere in the EU) and comfortable with comp of 90 120k base plus 30 50k commission.
Sarah Ateaque: https://www.linkedin.com/in/sarah-ateaque-phd-473656111/
Will named Sarah as the calibration profile for this role. The two traits he looks for most are both strong in her: she can manage a project (implementation timelines, stakeholder coordination) and she can talk to an executive. She has software experience and a science/industrial background, so she has a clear reason to want to sell industrial software. Her Solutions background is a plus: Uncountable can offer Solutions people a "commercial growth upside story" with more commercial responsibility.
Sarah is at the upper end of the seniority range. Will said she'd have been "perfectly fine" for this role about two years ago, so target people at that earlier career stage, not her current level. A Solutions title isn't required. An Account Manager or Senior Account Manager with the same skills would have been equally fine.
Use her as a skills and trajectory benchmark, not a seniority benchmark. Look for: 3 7 years of experience, managing a focused book of about 10 30 accounts worth hundreds of thousands in ARR each (not 50+ accounts), and based in London (in-person, flexible 5 days).
