Job summary

Flexzo Teach in the United Kingdom is seeking an English Tutor to deliver literacy lessons from Primary through A-Level. You’ll have autonomy to set your own hours and competitive rates, and you can tutor in-person or online across KS1–KS5 with flexible delivery.

Responsibilities include tailoring lessons to reading, writing, and textual analysis; tracking progress; and adapting your approach for diverse age groups.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent tutoring/academic coaching experience across diverse age groups.
• Ability to deliver engaging primary literacy lessons with deep subject expertise in English Language and English Literature up to A-Level specifications (e.g., AQA, OCR, Edexcel).
• Experience tailoring teaching style to primary and secondary/college students, focusing on essay structure, critical analysis, and high-tier exam techniques.
• Understanding of primary SPAG and phonics frameworks, as well as secondary and A-Level set texts, poetry anthologies, and comparative essay requirements.
• Right to Work: UK • DBS checks: Update Service or willingness to obtain.
