Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting English Graduate Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools across Bolton, Bury and Salford. If you hold an English degree and want invaluable classroom experience before teacher training, this is the role for you.

You will work with teachers and pupils to develop literacy, deliver targeted interventions, and help students improve reading, writing and grammar. Full-time placements available with ongoing support from a dedicated education consultant.

The Role

As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to:

• Support pupils with written work and literacy development.
• Provide one-to-one and small group interventions in English.
• Help students improve their reading, writing, spelling and grammar skills.
• Assist in delivering engaging classroom activities and lessons.
• Support students of varying abilities, including those who require additional learning support.
• Encourage confidence and engagement in English lessons.

Requirements

• A degree in English, English Literature, Creative Writing or a related subject.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A passion for education and supporting young people.
• A positive, proactive and professional attitude.
• Previous experience working with young people is beneficial but not essential.
