Protocol Education is working with an alternative provision in the Swindon area and is looking for a Teacher of English/English Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a school committed to empowering young people to thrive, reach their potential, and make a significant impact on their lives and education.
Hours: 08:30 - 16:00 (15:00 on Fridays)
Employment Type: Full-time, with part-time considered. The school is looking to offer permanent contracts to educators.
Pay: Dependent on experience. QTS/ECT paid to scale.
The school aims to enable students from the provision to make better educational and life decisions. It provides opportunities to rebuild, reset, and restart their educational journey, equipping them with skills to face future challenges as they transition back into mainstream education and beyond.
Due to the nature of the school, students may exhibit SEMH needs and challenging behaviours. Experience working in similar environments or with such behaviours is preferred but not essential.
The ideal candidate will:
Personality, a good sense of humour, and the ability to build trusting relationships with young people with challenging behaviours are important qualities for success in this role.

Pay rates are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanence later.
