Job summary

Career Teachers is seeking an experienced English Teacher to cover maternity leave at a specialist SEMH academy in Sheffield. You will deliver GCSE English Language across KS3 and KS4, starting ASAP until the end of the academic year.

The role requires QTS, a solid understanding of the National Curriculum, and strong classroom management. You will collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs and parents to support pupils' progress and wellbeing in a calm, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognised degree.
• Experience teaching English GCSEs.
• Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Assess, record and report pupil progress.
• Differentiate learning to meet individual needs, including pupils with SEND.
• Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
