Job summary

You will deliver GCSE English across KS3–KS4, use data to drive progress, manage behaviour and support pastoral care as Form Tutor. QTS, a English BA/MA, and DBS are required.

Qualifications

• QTS is mandatory for this role.
• BA/MA in English Literature, Language, or related field required.
• Proven experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
• Valid enhanced DBS or willingness to apply and safeguarding commitment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications.
• Use assessment data to bridge attainment gaps and support student growth.
• Maintain an inclusive learning environment with effective behaviour management.
• Act as a Form Tutor to support student wellbeing.
