Teaching Assistant

Role Overview:

You will work closely with students, providing both academic and pastoral support to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  2. Assist students with their learning, offering one-on-one or small-group support where needed.
  3. Help manage classroom behavior in line with the school's policies.
  4. Provide support for students with special educational needs, adapting learning materials as necessary.
  5. Assist with administrative tasks, lesson preparation, and classroom organization.
  6. Supervise students during break times and school activities.
  7. Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere that encourages student confidence and independence.

Who We're Looking For:

  1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  3. Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, youth work) is desirable but not essential.
  4. A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting students’ needs.
  5. A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in students’ learning.
  6. A relevant qualification in education or child development is advantageous but not required.
